Wet cleaning is the use of water and biodegradeable surfactants and conditioners to clean fabrics traditionally dry cleaned in solvents other than water. We also use this process to clean delicate hand washables. Simply put this has benefits for you as well as our employees and the environment. Leary’s has been doing modern wet cleaning since 1995 and we continue to apply the latest advances to the chemistry and the equipment to achieve the best results possible. The process requires well trained skilled labor as well as dedication to the goal of cleaning in an environmentally responsible way.

Your Choices

At Leary’s we give you a choice: laundering, traditional dry cleaning using a hydrocarbon solvent, eco-friendly wet cleaning, or a gentle freshening process suitable for lightly soiled textiles called dry wet cleaning. If this sounds confusing then please simply leave the decision on how to care for your wardrobe to the experts at Leary’s, knowing we will choose the more environmentally friendly process wherever possible. Our staff is always ready to discuss your options and we will use your favored process whenever it is feasible to do so.
